If you want something done right, you have to train your mind to think right first.

It’s not always easy starting the journey of breaking habits. It’s rough, long and very annoying. It’s literally breaking something you have become dependent on. This can also trigger the habit to reoccur again. I’m here to tell you it gets better.
When it comes to breaking a habit firstly , don’t stress on the time frame it may take to heal. That’s going to add a lot of pressure and stress on you. Then you may relapse. So let’s get that out the way, and worry only about today. Do this every single day you wake up. “I avoided my habit today” and that’s all. By the time flies it’s been years, and you haven’t relapsed.
Habits can be anything from alcohol, drugs, food, the things we do, people, places and things. If it’s causing a interference in your life then it’s a negative habit. There are some positive ones of course , but too much of anything is never good either. So we must learn how to decipher when a habit is causing us more harm than good.
I was one to make excuses for my drinking habit, I told myself things like well I know how to remain intellectual and alert while under the influence. That only made my habit worse, in fact it did not interfere in my life as where I lost people due to it. It only affected my financial independence. It clouded my judgement of making rational decisions when it came to spending.
So a habit may not seem all bad now cause you’re still living life great, but it will sneak up on you on some in form where you’re going to have to make a choice. That habit or your life?
A bad habit doesn’t always have to involve drugs either. It can be the way you treat and speak to yourself and others. How much of this habit controls over your rational decisions. The first step is thinking back on how many people may have mentioned, that you needed to change something about yourself? I don’t mean one or twice. I’m referring to over ten people telling you the same thing, or a few close ones saying it.
Once you wake up and listen, you’ll accomplish so much more. When you set your pride to the side, you benefit from the results immensely. Once you get the “I know everything” mentally out the way. You’ll learn a lot about yourself and what others can teach you.
Always go with what’s best for yourself , just cause it sounds like a good idea doesn’t mean it’s right for you. I will encourage you to think about it, put yourself in the picture and if it feels right then go for it. It’s always going to be what you decide. Make it worth it.
To break a habit, I must gain a new one. I have a habit of breaking bad habits.
